Young professionals
Young professionals
You see your professional future in the creative industries. We are at your side with practical offers and beneficial contacts.
Every beginning is difficult, so often even for young professionals. Those who complete an apprenticeship or study in the creative sector are prepared for the job market for years – at least in terms of know-how. Nevertheless, many of these young people feel insufficiently prepared to take up self-employment as freelancers or solo self-employed persons. If you want to work independently and not as an employee in the creative industries, you have to deal intensively with customer acquisition, self-marketing, positioning and networking in order to achieve professional success and an adequate income.
We support students, vocational school students and graduates of creative courses of study in finding their personal path to beginning a career and offer various formats for them to get started.
Students, vocational school students and graduates (up to 5 years after completing studies) of creative courses of study are eligible to participate.
Orientation and Further Training
Each week a one-hour lecture is held on different aspects of self-employment at Butter bei die Fische.
Establishing Contacts in the Industry
In groups of up to 20 participants, we make short visits to media houses, agencies, theatres, game developers and organisers and talk to their managing directors, employees or HR managers about everyday professional life, requirements for applicants and application opportunities.
Portfolio Advice
Portfolios are reviewed together with experts in the mostly 30-minute one-on-one discussion sessions and constructive feedback is offered.
