We invite creative professionals to join us on a journey to a variety of events in the Baltic States.

Within the project Creative Ports we bring creatives digitally to Aarhus from 28-29 October 2020. 

Would you like to network with other creative companies and entrepreneurs, learn more about the internationalization of creative industries and be inspired by projects working towards a more sustainable future? 
Do you also have an idea of your own that you would like to pitch to an international jury of experts? 

Then apply to participate in this year's "Pitching for a Better Baltic Sea"!

The event aims to strengthen transnational and cross-sectoral cooperation within the creative industries in the Baltic Sea region. Pitching for a Better Baltic Sea brings together start-ups, SMEs, incubators and other CCI actors from the Baltic Sea Region and shows how the 12th and 13th goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals can lead to innovation and investment in the future.

12th goal: Ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns
13th goal: Combat climate change and its effects

The winner of the pitch will receive two delegate passes, flights and hotel to the Sonar+D Festival in Barcelona in June 2021.

Target group

The target group is start-ups and young companies from the creative industries in Hamburg. 

Application requirements

  • You should have a good command of English.
  • You should be willing to participate in the complete program on October 28 and 29.
  • You should be able to develop a project idea that is innovative, economically sound, and serves the 12th and 13th UN goals for sustainable development, such as a project that combines fashion and recycling, video games and urban planning, or design and waste reduction. 

Your application should include the following: 

  • curriculum vitae
  • a description of your business, including sales, link to the website and other relevant contact information, and whether the business is currently part of a support program 
  • a short letter of motivation
  • a description of the project you want to pitch. You are also welcome to create a video as an alternative to a text description (pitching materials such as PowerPoint presentations, videos, etc. can also be submitted). 

The commitment of the participants

In return, you will provide us with detailed feedback after your participation. In this way you support us in evaluating the event and help us to develop a sound, forward-looking internationalization strategy for the creative industries.

Creative Ports: Networking the creative industries

Within the framework of the Creative Ports project, we invite Hamburg's creative professionals to join us on a journey to various events in the Baltic States: Gain access to new markets, make contacts and gather inspiration.

Creative Ports is a transnational initiative to promote networking for cultural and creative industries actors in the Baltic Sea region. The project is supported by fourteen cooperation partners - Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft is one of them.

In the current and coming year you can apply for participation in various international events. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, some offers have been canceled or postponed so far. Nevertheless, we will hopefully be able to publish further offers here soon.
